Happy sparkles

Easter I was in Hagley. It rained. A lot. I stayed in doors and snuggled babies on the sofa. Watched Britain's The Voice. Mingled with the relies. I spent most of the time, though, perched on the top of the couch with my legs tucked underneath me, yelling at Reggie, an Irish Setter who likes to jump and lick my cheek.

Saturday I tagged along with George to a house party. I met his friends, all on Uni break. I was the first Australian any of them had met. I was their novelty for the night. When midnight struck, we walked to the station and continued partying on the train carriages and in to Worcester. We danced under a black sky covered in neon stars.

Easter Sunday we were in Bewdley, eating pub lunches and strolling along the river, picking daisies and catching ladybirds.

Isn't it the cutest!

Driving in a BMW, looking at happy coloured scenery.

We drive past Oxford on our way home. I couldn't think of burying my head in a book when there's so much beauty to see. I cried to Relient K's 'Motorcycle drive by' as farm cottages and patchwork fields all blurred in to a haze.
Seconds before this pic, the caged beast tried to mutilate my finger. I screamed.

We spent Tuesday at a petting farm. It was like being back home in Oz. Only, we don't own disgusting pigs or owls that need to be caged for fear of tearing tourists in to little pieces.

I have so many stories to tell. So many new friends I want to show you all. My church family are amazing and I've only been attending for two weeks. Some days I miss my brothers and sisters., my parents. I think I may have freaked my poor mum out yesterday on Skype when I started crying. I feel better today. I have two lunch dates organised in London soon. And I am excited because one is an adorable friend from Canberra and the other is the mum of a bestie. Oh yeah!!!

  1. Such shame you didn't get a shot of the bird trying to eat your finger :(

You didn't really freak me out - I just had your plane ticket back home all organised ;)

So pleased to hear you are feeling better and getting out more.

  2. Love it all. That ladybug is so perfect, and different to Aussie ones.
